    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Its an intense course, but you gain so much. Even if you don't pass the AP exam you do so much writing and analyzing that the skills sharpen. You learn much more than you would taking three regular English courses.

    Course highlights:

The highlights would be the open discussions on rhetoric. I think just analyzing essays as a discussion gives you broader knowledge. Now you have your knowledge and your perspective plus all your peers. Its like a big epiphany every time.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Start reading books from the American canon.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. SO provides countless different activities and outlets for the students to learn, and she never fails to make the classroom experience enjoyable!

    Course highlights:

I learned how to analyze prose and poetry in order to understand what the authors' are trying to convey with their work, and I learned how the themes and motifs found within different works can help me understand society at the time.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't be afraid to read a lot, and be open to criticism on your writing.
