Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course for anyone who has a strong interest in studies about the body and how it functions. This course delves into the depths of body functions, genetics, and real world issues regarding personal health. Also, as a secondary, I believe that with any science course students must have a teacher who has a thorough understanding of the topic and makes connections to present day, as Mrs. Skinner does. Overall this is a wonderful course, and taught me lot about Biology and I feel thoroughly prepared for Biology 101 in college.

    Course highlights:

We learned about genetics, body functions (ie. mitosis, meoisis, functions of cells), and biochemistry of the body.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

AP Biology is not an easy course. It requires a significant amount of time, typically three hours a day, reviewing material learned in class, ensuring that you comprehend the material, and testing yourself with application.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Geology was a really neat course. I wasn't that big into science in general, but the teacher was fantastic! She explained things in ways I had never thought of before.

    Course highlights:

The best part of this course was the volcano I got to make toward the end of the year. We chose one of the many volcanos of the world to build a replica. I built mine out of chicken wire and playdough, with spray paint for coloring. It was great!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it! The teacher is great as long as you put for the effort. It's fairly easy as long as you stay on top of things. It was a lot of fun

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course. Usually if a course is too easy then you don't really learn anything. This one is different. I found it easy AND learned quite a bit about geology.

    Course highlights:

I'm not a big science person. I prefer math. But, the teacher caters to any student who is willing to put forth a little effort. It's an easy course if you pay attention and participate and there is very little out of class studying that needs to be done.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do your homework and take notes. The teacher tells you everything that is on the test!
