    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

You don't need to enjoy math to take AP Calc with Mr. Sanders. He truly is a master at getting any kind of student to learn the material through his face paced, energetic style of instruction. I learned how it feels like to be pumped up for an exam because he would also be really excited to put his students to the test and see if he truly did a good job teaching. I wish I knew he would slow the class down a bit to help those who were struggling. I personally never had my struggles in this class and was bothered when he'd slow down to go over some material again. If you are really advanced in math, just remember to be patient.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were mostly around the final days before the AP Calculus Exam. We had been preparing for it during the entire school year. Everyone, whether they were prepared or unprepared, was in his class as much as possible during the days before the exam. He would allow students to do this so they can study and review as much as possible but he didn't enforce it. It was really amazing to see all of my peers working collectively as a group to prepare themselves for a test to not only prove they can take college-level math, but to make their instructor proud. A class contains several people and in math they are usually not forced to work together. However, I learned that when a class unites and works together towards common goal, they can achieve a lot of success.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed, you have to buy into his style of teaching. Trust him to teach the curriculum and make sure to give your effort. Effort will always beat talent, so as long as you keep practicing the math, you are bound to learn it. Also, make sure to remember the unit circle for the beginning of the year. You will be tested so much on that.

The highlights were the last few weeks of the course, since we had to ultimately put in our own time and effort towards studying for the last exam. I learned that hard work and dedication really shows while taking the last exam because of its difficulty.

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:
