Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The AP Gov/Econ course is as challenging intellectually as it is fun. The teacher is passionate about the subject. Students are required to question and apply real-world examples to their reading; they also engage in active class discussions over current events. A strong background and interest in politics is encouraged but not necessary.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the constitutional underpinnings our founding fathers created that have impacted US history and politics; I also learned the importance of citizen participation and media influence in the presidential elections.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Students must read the textbook and take notes on the chapters to succeed in the class. Study outlines, practice test questions, and quizlet flashcards are also provided for or are available online if students need more support.

Always be prepared. The course is less book driven than it is outside research. You'll be reading more outside articles, and different readings. Most books are outside and must come prepared for class.

    Course highlights:

Course gives students the basic understanding of government and economics. Learn the basics of business and understanding how democracy works.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Be Mindful of the teacher. Always be on time. Never miss test dates. Be prepared for makeup work.
