Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend taking courses like AP Language and Composition, which aids the students to think and write for themselves.

    Course highlights:

The course is mostly about analyzing rhetoric used by everyone and especially ads and nonfictional writings read to usually inspire change. I learned not only how to be specific through my writing, but also to be more decisive in my life.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read. If you don't read the books you are supposed to read, you are going to fall so far behind in the discussions. You also need to figure out for yourself which information is important and worthy to take notes of.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is everything you need in your high school career. Mr.Coogan forces you to think beyond the obvious, and equips you with the tools you need to succeed. You may not the first, second, or even third- but I guarantee you will be better each time. TAKE THIS CLASS, and don't quit.

    Course highlights:

I learned to write, and think in this class. You think you know how to write, but Coogan breaks down the traditional barriers of the writing formula, and teaches you how to get your point across effectively. He makes it fun again, and though he is difficult, it is to make you the best you can be. The harder he is on you, the more potential he sees.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

An open mind, tough skin, a willingness to be better. Take his advice, but don't be afraid to stick to your guns. Sometimes he doesn't care if your right, he just wants you to have the FACTS to prove it. DO NOT QUIT, this class takes work, but you will have cheated yourself if you quit.
