Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The teacher for the course does not give too much instruction on how to analyze, but she does give plenty of fascinating material to cover. I recommend taking her course after AP English Language & Composition.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were the pieces; we covered poems to novels and excerpts.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Try to understand the piece first before you analyze. What purpose does the author have for writing it?

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If passed, the benefit is so great (automatic college credit). I loved the structure of the class and the way assignments were presented.

    Course highlights:

Learned how to tackle papers you'll have to write throughout college. Learned how to find sources, how to use them, and how to cite them.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

There isn't a lot of daily work to be done, but each assignment will take a lot out of you once assigned. Personally, I liked to complete the majority of the assignment all at one sitting to ensure a consistent approach to the paper.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is a difficult class, don't get me wrong. However, it is one of the most impactful classes I have ever taken when it comes to writing. It is a lot of writing and is pretty time consuming.

    Course highlights:

I highly recommend taking the class if you are able to get into it. I have learned so much to improve my writing in just one semester. I don't regret taking this class even though it is the main source of all my stress.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

No procrastination. You have to prioritize when you have this class in your schedule. When Hendrickson tells you to get something done, do it. She knows what's best. If you listen to her you'll be successful.
