    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Rigourous and challenging are the first two words that come to mind when thinking of this course. However, this class helps you grow not only as a math student but as a student in general. Mr. Straiton as a teacher incredibly skilled, making the hardest concepts understanable by his simplistic approach with a traditional white board and marker. At times I questioned if I could handle the work load or was smart enough, but the main factor is if you're willing to put in the effort. If you're told to memorize an equation or formula, do it. I reccommend taking this class not only to grow your knowledge in Calculus but to also challenge yourself in math.

    Course highlights:

Main highlights for me were learning real world applicaions through derivaives and integrals. Also requires you to refresh on alegbra skills from previous years which can be annoying but in the long-run very helpful.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Always memorize equations and formulas (flashcards were very helpful to me). Know your study tactics and apply them throughout the course. Do plenty of practice problems to increase efficency on test.
