    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

AP Environmental Science is a very relevant and interesting class. You have the opportunity to learn about global issues and what habits people have that effect our environment. My peers and I were able to construct projects, go on field trips to the Chicago River and watch documentaries or movies.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about what humans do that causes global climate change. For instance, the excessive use of vehicles opposed to public transit is one of the few main sources of our air pollution. I learned about how Chicago has the cleanest drinking water in all of United States.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Although you learn interesting things and get to watch movies, do not be deceived and think you can get an easy A. I had to put a lot of my time and effort into studying and taking notes from my textbook for all tests and quizzes. Most of the content you are tested on is derived from what you studied or learned on your own.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I thought this class was incredibly important, as it taught us many environmental issues that our world is facing currently, and more importantly, how to do our part in helping to overcome those issues. I highly value the well being of our planet, so learning how to help care and preserve our earth from this class was extremely rewarding.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about how to help with small things to benefit the planet. For example, we did many projects on things such as how much water we use, and by the end of the project, we were able to name multiple ways for people to easily make a difference by making a minute change in their day to day routine.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Overall, the course is not that difficult, but it all comes down to how you apply yourself. I would not recommend this course to somebody who doesn't care about the planet and doesn't want to make an effort to educating themselves on the incredible planet that we inhabit. Depending on how seriously you take this course, it can be so much more than a grade, and the things you can take away from this course are monumental.
