Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This has been one of my favorite classes I have ever taken as a college student. Dr. Maxwell is an amazing professor and is extremely passionate about the material he teaches. It is important to go to class and listen to his lectures, he makes his classes fun and also gives surprise pop quizzes. The exams are not too bad but do require some studying so make sure to take good notes and have the powerpoints open. He wants his students to succeed and is always available for help.

    Course highlights:

I learned all about where rock and roll came from and how Americans reacted to this new type of music. A variety of artists are covered from the 1940s all the way up to 90s grunge rock. You learn these band's musical styles and what made them successful. My highlight of the course was being able to sit and talk about music and listen to new songs that I would have never heard of. This class wasn't a drag for me, I looked forward to every class.

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class and get out of your comfort zone by listening to new music you would have never heard of before.
