    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Though I didn't stay within the sciences for my major, I'm glad I took this class with Burrack! She was such a cool and understanding professor, who was always willing to talk and help you out if you ask. She did whatever she could to help you succeed.

    Course highlights:

I personally really liked labs, but all the information I learned in the course was pretty useful. I was more of a fan of the Ecology part of the course

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study groups help so much! You won't believe how much you and your classmates might miss throughout the lecture that someone else caught. It was a tough course but studying and struggling with other people helps. Trust me if you are confused, you're probably not alone. Also this might be obvious but reading the chapter is extremely important. Skimming chapters won't cut it.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Amy does an amazing job at putting difficult content into simpler terms and keeps the class interactive.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed having lab with her as well. We learned how to take what we were learning in lecture and apply it in lab.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Listen to her podcasts before tests, take notes, study and keep your learning interactive. If you are trying to memorize diagrams, keep drawing them until you have it memorized.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course was quite challenging, but increased your knowledge or the biological sciences all together.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed the pod-casts presented to us throughout this course. It helped me understand the concepts more, and allowed me to take better notes. I learned that no matter how hard things got in the course, that you should never give up on yourself.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would defiantly suggest going to the professors office hours. If you have any questions about the material in the course, the professor can help you one on one, which then will benefit you throughout the course. I would also suggest taking good notes, and staying focused during lecture.
