    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is an exciting class in which you get to learn about matter and properties. It challenges your math skills as well as makes you aware about how applicable chemistry is to your everyday life.

    Course highlights:

The high light of this course were the labs and being able to actually see the chemical reactions being created. You learn a lot about the periodic table and each of its elements.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay close attention and careful notes. It is easy to get lost in the problems if you begin to doubt yourself and believe it is too challenging for you. Ask the teacher for help and the chances of passing will increase significantly

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it delves deep into chemistry. You are able to see how people came to discover certain phenomena and how it is used in our everyday life. Labs give a hands on and visual experience for those who don't like just reading from a book and lectures are given for auditory listeners.

    Course highlights:

From this course, I gained an understanding of elements and their physical and chemical properties. I learned how certain pigments can dissolve in water, while others needed other solvents. I learned how to follow labs and write my own lab reports.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I suggest that you come to class with an open and creative mind. There are different ways in learning chemistry, and memorizing should be the last resort. Also, you should take notes.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class can be a challenging course if you do not pay attention in her class. It is important to study the material and be sure to ask any questions that you have (she encourages doing so) on a topic because it is difficult to relearn everything once you have moved on from the topic. The labs that are done in this class are very fun and engage well with the topics that they correspond to in the class.

    Course highlights:

Through this course I learned about the periodic table and how to read its trends and describe its properties. I also learned about the uncertainty of a number and how it is used to measure the different types of error.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the work that is given in this class, and study it. Don't be afraid to ask questions in class, or during her office hours, and if you are struggling to grasp on a topic in her class, I would advise you to dedicate more time into the material and go to the study sessions after or before school.
