Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because Mr. Burr is very passionate about this class. His enthusiasm about history and helping his students do their best on the AP World History exam knows no bounds. In this class, students learn about humans in history from start to finish, and I have recalled information from this class to supplement and support learning in other classes.

    Course highlights:

Students write a lot in this course. Knowing how to make an argument and support it with evidence is invaluable in life and in future classes and this course teaches students how to do it.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

READ!!! This cannot be stressed enough. Whether it is the textbook (which you should read) or a cram book, or the PowerPoint's he posts, students have to know their history in order to succeed. Also, I suggests that students learn to take examples to support the wide ranging developments over history. If you are learning about how countries started to become more imperial, know examples of countries becoming more imperial and why they started to become more imperial. Students cannot just know that countries were becoming more imperial.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It really increases your writing skills for the future. It was my first real AP and it paved the way for all my future study habits. It showed me how to take a lot of workload and manage it which rapidly increased my time management skills.

    Course highlights:

You learn all about how the world has come about and how it has gotten to where it is today. It truly shows a young mind so much about the planet we live on and all the people that inhabit it. It expands what you right now comprehend as the "world".

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You just have to be determined as a young student. As you are adjusting to high school, there will be a lot of kids who decide to slack off but it truly is not hard to manage school work and fun, trust me. Taking classes that challenge you early will make everything else in the future easier.
