    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

By taking this class you will learn about the unknown topic of southernization, the nontraditional Indian empires and the revolutions of Latin America. This class prepares people for AP US History and AP Government. AP World History is a building block for other world history classes.

    Course highlights:

This class introduced me to the topic of southernization. I really enjoyed learning about the impact the American Revolution had on the Caribbean and the French. The relationship between empires and the extensive trade between them showed me that the smallest changes can affect the biggest things.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend that students read the textbook as it contains the answers to all the tests. If you read the textbook for understanding you will succeed. Students should also be willing to participate in class.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is the hardest class I have ever taken but the best class I have ever taken. It teaches you how to take any course you will ever take for the rest of your life and teaches you more information than you ever thought was possible. Mr. Burr is the best teacher ever and its amazing.

    Course highlights:

Everything was amazing. Literally everything--every day in class was something new and exciting and although there was a lot of reading, the material was new and deep and stimulating.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

don't consider it--just do it, its worth every second.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

By taking this course you will learn why Europe and the United States control the majority of the worlds resources and why they advanced faster and further than Asia, Africa, South America and the Pacific.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were learning about the World Wars, southernization and going in depth with regions previously only touched upon such as India, Africa or Latin America. It was also refreshing to not stop learning once we reached the revolutionary war and going up to the Iraq War and other modern day events.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

READ THE TEXTBOOK! ASK QUESTIONS! Don't be afraid to challenge the teacher if you feel you deserve a higher score on an essay.
