Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was very focused on the basic elements of biology and had several labs involved. the labs helped make the lectures easier to understand. Mr. Haynes is a great teacher who explained everything in great detail.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was the lab work. Some of my favorite moments were dissecting creatures, and looking through microscopes at cells. I learned a basic foundation of biology and laboratory work, and this class helped me in my second biology class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The best advice I could give for this course is to study daily. Making notecards after each lecture really helps you to process the information. The more you can read over the material, the easier it is to understand and learn. Look at the images and figures in the book for extra help.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because Mr. Haynes is such a great teacher. Before this class I did not like science at all, but through our labs, I started to take more interest in it. I learned so much throughout the course.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course were the labs. You got to work in groups and have an actual hands on experience in what you were learning. It is not common that you get to do something besides take notes and listen to a lecture in a college classroom. I learned so much that I enjoyed, my favorite thing I learned about was the cell.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would make sure you know the critters of the week for each test. Also make sure to do all of the homework assignments, bring all your materials, and be prepared for each class. Most importantly, study each week so you will not get behind, I suggest making note cards.
