    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course because you get college credit for it and this part of the course covers government so you do no have to take that government class.

    Course highlights:

In this course you will learn about the Great depression and the Harlem Renaissance and so much more. The work that you do will help you for the second course your senior year.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The advice that I will give students is to take your time when doing this course. Slow down and properly answer the question. If you need help ask because it would surely benefit you at the end.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course opened made me more prepared for college level writing and I can honestly say that the course not only taught me more about history but it also gave me new perspectives on current political developments. Mr. Ochoa is a dedicated teacher and is probably the teacher best equipped to prepare students for college level writing.

    Course highlights:

My writing skills improved tremendously as a result of this course, while this course does teach history it is also a good platform for the exploration of present day political development. I also learned how to dissect arguments for substance, it was also important that I learned how to detach myself from emotion during socratic seminars in order to successfully argue my point.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely do all the reading assigned. Be responsible as well and take ownership of your performances. PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE. IB Paper 1's are skill based assessments and therefore require that you practice in order to finish on time. There aren't too many small assignments so do the homework that is handed out, notebook checks can make or break your grade!

    Course Overview:

Great teacher and great way to actually touch on the history of the americas. Its a great way to learn historiography and analyze the different perspectives of a topic rather than just come up with a perspective without background.

This course Teacches you how to analyze the different perspectives of historical events and opens your mind up to different views on how and why events happened.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:
