    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class taught me so much. My teacher really cared about if we succeeded or not. I will also need this later on in life.

    Course highlights:

Learning how to balance our chemical equations was a great part and how to turn miles to grams and turning that into anything else. This class helped me better in my math classes.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Always study! The more work you put in out of the class the better off you will be. You need to put lots of effort in!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The teacher knows how to teach her content unlike other teachers. Although, the course is tough you will be learning a lot of content. But I have to warn you, you will be teaching yourself a lot.

    Course highlights:

I learn the basics of chemistry at first like chemical bonds, the periodic table, and other things. Then you go into more difficult concepts that are harder to grasp initially.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Study! Print out the notes she gives you and read them the day before so you will be prepared. Also, she has tutoring on certain days in the mornings so try to go to those.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is very challenging and it taught me a great deal of information. This class is not for those who do not apply themselves and will not take the time to study. One will succeed though if they have the motivation to do so. Another reason I would recommend this course is because it is very beneficial to anyone pursuing a career in the medical field, engineering, and other various related career fields. One can also gain college credit from this course if he or she passes the AP exam, which can be very helpful in college. Overall, AP Chemistry is a very valuable, challenging, and rewarding class for many students if they work hard.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were all the labs we completed. They were very fun, yet taught a lesson that was easy to remember due to the way the labs presented the information. One of my favorite units was the electrochemistry unit simply becasue I enjoyed learning about it. I learned an abundance of information in this class. I learned basic parts of chemistry and then delved deeper into the world of chemistry, in units like Kinetics and Acids and Bases, which were very tough, but taught me a lot. All in all, you will learn plenty of information in this class that may be hard at times, but is worth it in the end.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Some advice I would give to students is to make sure they have taken either general Chemistry or preferably Pre-AP Chemistry before taking this course, because students are expected to remember most of the information they learned in those classes to be successful in AP Chemistry. Also, I would tell students to make sure to be dilligent about studying and to always ask questions if they do not understand anything the teacher is teaching.
