Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The class itself is the perfect amount of challenging and everything you learn is really interesting. Sometimes we will just have long informal discussions the entire class and really just end up yelling at eachother by the end: it's hilarious and fantastic. Mr. Spears is probably one of the best teachers I've ever had. He's really chill and funny, and he doesn't believe in busy work. Any writing you actually do have to do relates directly to what we're talking about and really helps us understand the concepts better. There is a lot of vocabulary you have to memorize but other than that the class is super fun.

    Course highlights:

We learn everything from the effects of conformity on individuals to the structure of the brain and what each component does. Overall we focus on figuring out why people think the way they do; whether it's evolutionary, biological, or due to past experience.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

-Do the reading (at least for the first couple of weeks because he does reading checks) -memorize the vocab terms because they are all what the tests are about -if you have an opinion or thought say it, Mr. Spears won't mind -have a sense of humor -but in the end Mr. Spears is always right (even when he's wrong)

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class gives a basic understanding of the many building blocks that make up psychology, and allows students who may not know a lot about the subject a very interesting first look into the science behind humans

    Course highlights:

The highlights were definitely learning about psychology behind transitions. As this was taking in high school senior year, it was very helpful learning the science and psychology behind our feelings and fears with transitioning.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read ahead, read carefully, and manage your time.
