    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend this course if you are interested in a career in medicine. It is an accelerated course and will prepare you for the workload of the classes in a health professions and/or medical science graduate program.

    Course highlights:

Anatomy was one of the most fascinating courses. The lectures are content heavy but very well-organized. Because Dr. Nofsinger was a practicing Ophthalmologist for many years he taught with a clinically oriented approach. Therefore, I learned how to facilitate clinical application of anatomy.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

The best advice I could offer a student considering this course is to form study groups. Find people in your class who would be willing to get together for a few hours each week and prior to each examination to review the material. The reason why is they may be able to provide a different perspective towards a certain concept that you were initially struggling with.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The professor was great and she truly knows her material. Even though the class is heavy loaded in the amount of material you have to know in such a short amount of time, the topics are very interesting.

    Course highlights:

Honestly the best is when the semester is over. You're so proud of yourself that you've accomplished such an intense class and when you think you don't know much, when someone talks about the human brain, or you're watching Bones, everything comes back and you remember what you learned.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely stay on top of everything that's happening in class. If you don't want to read all the assigned reading, make sure you still know what's happening in the textbook. Get a study group together. Make sure you study a little everyday so you don't fall behind. This class truly teaches you the consequences of procrastinating.
