    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The content of this course was incredibly difficult, but Anjali made it very interesting as well. Be ready to study very hard and work for a good grade.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was learning the world of the microbes, and how they effect every day life. I learned all about germs, the good and the bad. The labs were very interesting as well.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study all the powerpoints! And don't miss class. If you get behind in this class it will be very difficult to catch up.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class made me want to quit school because of how horrible it was. The only thing I learned in this class was how to self-teach and how to use PowerPoint.

    Course highlights:

There were no highlights in this class because I couldn't find the light at the end of the tunnel.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

If you don't need this class, please do not take it. I would also take this class with another professor because she didn't help us figure out anything.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

BIO 204, Microbiology was extremely interesting and very eye opening to the microscopic world around us. Although the material was very challenging and heavy it was so cool to learn about the things our eyes cannot see. Learning aseptic technique and learning how different microorganisms spread, live, and prosper was also a great part of this course.

    Course highlights:

The main highlight for me was the hands-on lab part of the course. I have always found myself to be a more hands-on learner. Being able to put my lab coat on and practice what we just learned about was great. Seeing the actual growth of the organisms on different mediums and the shape and color through the microscope was also a great aspect.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell them to make sure you manage your time appropriately, especially if you are taking other courses at the same time. I was taking two other very challenging courses and working full-time while I took this class and time management was key to success. Also making sure you have good study habits and a good place to study is important too. Somewhere with minimal interruptions, so you can just sit down and go to town in those books.
