Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class provided a thorough review of topics from high school that I had either missed out on or had not covered in my time there.

    Course highlights:

The course brought me up to a college level math and algebra understanding.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Use the tools that the programs give you. Mymathlab allows you to work through problems in a relatively understandable way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

James is my favorite math teacher. I had him for 3 semesters.. He makes math so much fun! He always came to class with positive attitude and made me excited about passing a test. I knew if I had him as my math teacher, I would pass with flying colors.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were the positivity I got from my teacher after I passed a test. :) I learned a lot about y=mx+b, the quadratic formula, how to complete a square, domain and range, etc.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

    Study early. Don't procrastinate!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was very entertaining for me. Our professor was very resourceful when it came to figuring out different math problems, and he introduced me to ways to do different problems that I had never heard of, like cross-multiplying in word problems. It was sort of like a comedy show for us, he would make a math joke that actually made sense and it stuck with us and helped us to remember what we needed to.

    Course highlights:

I learned about cross-multiplying with word problems. He taught me to just look for the items in a problem that you really needed and to forget the rest of it. It really helped me to understand that word problems weren't any different than a regular problem, except that you had to find the numbers yourself.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    A scientific calculator, for sure!
