    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Erin Peden is an amazingly passionate and wonderful TEACHER. I capatilize teacher because I have had professors that are clearly smart, but are totally ineffective at logically conveying the classroom concepts. Not the case with Erin. He has a magic touch and a way of teaching biology that will get even art history majors excited,.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to be organized with my notes, study time and test taking. We continually had assignments and tests, so there was no procrastination involved. The additional resources he provides, including his own video series complimented the material well and ha e us different lenses to view Biology from.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make notecards from your class notes immediately. Keep them with you to review at least once a day until test time. You will be amazed at how much information you can retain simply by writing your notes in simplistic forms.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor is passionate and enthusiastic and makes you want to learn the subject. The interactive lab portion makes it easier to learn and understand the material. The quizzes and tests are nicely spaced out and planned so there are no surprises.

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed the lab portion, it made the material much easier to retain! I learned a lot about biology, but also that there are many ways to learn and that is very important for all subjects.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Great introduction to the sciences. I am not a science major, but I really enjoyed the class and I believe it helped make me a more well rounded student.
