Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This a course not taken for busy work, but for useful techniques. You analyze literature, writings, and gather information about what had sculpted English!

    Course highlights:

The greatest highlight of this class was the level of analysis you take away. You learn how to dissect literature, poetry, etc., to learn what the piece is truly about. This allows for you to understand how English has truly impacted our lives.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this class you need to be willing to explore. You cannot just look at a piece and tell yourself you don't understand. There's always room for interpretation. You have to be open to giving your opinion on what you read.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course offers deep and thorough discussions on literature. You read fascinating, non-outdated books and come back to class ready to talk about your thoughts and opinions. Its a class where it does not feel like the boring lecture-style classes, instead its where students learn from each other with the guidance of the teacher.

    Course highlights:

I learned to broaden my mind when reading literature. There is not always a set message and there are many interpretations a reader can take from a book. I learned that there is not a right answer in the way you interpret a book.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you actually read the books and do not spark note your way through the course, you will do just fine in this class! In this class, you do not read old, boring classics and you will find yourself actually enjoying the book you are reading.

    Hours per week:
