Advice for students:
Make sure that you have time to study and do the homework for this class
This class was tough.
Course Overview:
I would recommend this course because Mrs. Nawrocki really understands the material herself, allowing her to explain concepts in multiple ways to fit the learning needs of her students.
Course highlights:
Up until calculus, math had always been my easy subject. It just clicked. That was not the case with calculus and I struggled throughout the course. Mrs. Nawrocki stuck with me and offered extra help and resources and showed me why I shouldn't just because it wasn't easy anymore.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
Do NOT use slader. Look into any of the extra resources she recommends. Don't get discouraged by a couple bad quizzes.
This class was tough.
Course Overview:
Mrs. Nawrocki is an incredible teacher. She encourages collaboration unlike many other math teachers. For example, her classroom is constantly filled with the sounds of thought and understanding as opposed to the telling silence of most math rooms. This, to me, is a very important aspect of teaching
Course highlights:
I think very spatially, so when we began to evaluate the areas of functions being rotated around axes via the the washer and shell method, I began to really enjoy myself in the class. This material is so interesting! Even the most gifted of mathematicians will have pause when considering one of these integral-problems.
Hours per week:
9-11 hours
Advice for students:
Do not think you are above studying. This class will push you to your limits and require you to step out of your intellectual comfort zone. Study!
