    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

One of the best classes I have ever taken! Such a passionate teacher who really got me interested in science - something hard for me to do!

    Course highlights:

Highlights were definitely the teacher's enthusiasm, and the difficulty of the class. It really challenged you to think, which improved skills in all aspects of your life.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Work hard and do not be afraid to ask for help.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

As a class, we studied ecology of environments and populations, and I've had a great time enjoying the overall mood in the classroom, as Mrs. Senning is a very nice, open teacher who will take time out of her schedule to help you with anything. the class itself had it's fair share of homework, but there weren't any times where I felt like she had given us way too much homework. It was very worthwhile, and I'm hoping to have at least one or two more classes like this one.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about evolution through mutation and generations, and studies of how animals go through physical and mental changes in their lifestyle and diet. The interactions between certain species and the types of relationships that they had was also fairly interesting. I distinctly remember watching a video in class on individual laptops about the Texas Mosquito Mystery by Crash Course on Youtube, which gave me a different point of view on the science of population ecology.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

As long as you show up with an efficient way of taking notes in class, the right materials needed for the year and a focused mindset, you'll be on your way to making A's. It's a great foundation class, so if you are already experienced in biology, I would say that you should take a more specific course. If you haven't taken a biology course yet, then I would highly recommend taking this class.
