    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend taking AP European History! I was very nervous going into this course as history is not my best subject. My teacher was very interactive with the class and would often have class group projects in order for us to fully understand the subject.

    Course highlights:

Highlights from this course were definitely learning more about the Renaissance. As the unit continued it hardly even felt like I was learning history! Memorization became easier to handle as the class continued and time periods were very easy to differentiate by using art styles that were popular at the time.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I highly recommend looking back at your notes every so often. Dedicate at least an hour a week just rereading your notes as any little thing could be on a class test- or maybe even the AP test.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Because we live in the United States, it is rare for us to get a European perspective of events in history. Well that's exactly what this course gives. It covers a large span in history with a fresh point of view.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were group projects and presentations. They were fun and surprisingly effective for recalling the information later. They allowed you to focus of one topic in detail while still learning about other topics from watching the other groups presentations.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

After taking the final exam for this course, I would definitely recommend learning the causes and effects of various events. Memorizing names and dates is always beneficial, but be able to think critically about the information and how it connects to other topics.
