    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course is good for those who want a free period for there are no due dates for the work. However, don't fall behind, although it may be tempting. It can be very difficult to complete 50 worksheets the night before the quarter is over.

    Course highlights:

I learned that what you put into directly relates to how much you are going to get out of it. My first year I worked hard and studied hard and passed the test. The second year I used it as a free period as I was not taking the test. So I almost got a bad score in the class and I most certainly had very bad test scores.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

I would do the worksheets right when he gives you them. It may not be fun but you will thank yourself later.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course if you are looking to get some credits for college work. If you score 5 or higher on the IB Biology test after taking this course then you are not expected to take general education biology classes upon entering college. I believe that Mr. Peters does an adequate job in preparing his students for the test.

    Course highlights:

This was a beneficial class as students were given the opportunity to complete many different labs. Many of the experiments that were held in class aided in helping students visualize some of the key concepts learned in the classroom, specifically pertaining to the IB course syllabus.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I was definitely encouraged by Mr. Peters to know the material very well, especially since biology is very detailed subject area. Make sure you pay attention when Mr. Peters is teaching or reviewing in class. He does a very good job in explaining key concepts, but he will not force you to pay attention.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The teacher helped me to visualize the core concepts of Biology. His lectures explained the core concepts that allowed me to visually see things as they exist physically. He helped us understand the concepts a working part of a bigger machine and how it would physically work than memorizing it strait out of the book.

    Course highlights:

This course focused on preparing us for the Biology HL test through the core concepts of the IB syllabus. Not only does this course focus on the understandings of certain concepts, but it explains how they are applied in every day life, how they can be questioned and tested, their utilization, and aims.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in the class, you must be able to visual these core concepts as if it is a physical model in your hands. You have to be able to understand, analyze, and explain a concept. The IB Syllabus is very helpful but can only take you so far. Without being able to visual a concept, you won't be able to succeed.
