    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class was a great way to learn more about the human body and how it functions. I really enjoyed it because it was a great addition to BIO201 and putting together all of the body parts that we had learned.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed learning how the body parts functions especially the liver and the kidneys. I enjoyed the lab and we spent most of the semester dissecting a cat to help visualize the different areas of the body.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

There is still a lot of memorization like BIO201, but it goes deeper into understanding how things work.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Best professor ever. It is clear that Dr. Ashby has taught this course for a long time. She knows exactly who her students are, and what they need to learn for their career paths. She is very fair, kind, and extremely approachable. I have a tremendous amount of respect for her. I learned so much from her, and not just Anatomy &a Physiology

    Course highlights:

What I learned from Dr. Ashby goes beyond the material in her course. She helped me develop new study techniques, particularly learning the difference between learning to higher level of recognition versus recall. This is paramount for any student in the healthcare field. She records her lecture, she makes videos, writes out the material in the board during lecture. She is a tough professor, for sure, but you will thank her for it

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Do exactly as she says. Listen to every piece of advice she gives you. Take full advantage of all of the study tips, techniques, study sessions, practice exams, etc.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is a crucial course to take, especially if you're going into the medical field.

    Course highlights:

Some of the highlights of this course was being able to see the individual organs in the human body. You get to learn how the body works.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Study constantly, even if its just a couple hours a day. Make flash cards and join study groups. If the professor offers extra lab time, take it, its a chance to have one on one time with the professor to ask any additional questions you may have.
