Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It was a rigorous course that I recommend because it taught me so much about literature and the person I am when I read or learn new literature.

    Course highlights:

I gained analysing skills and new methods to reading. I enjoyed reading all the different types of literature from different time periods.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Use the skills and resources you are given. Pay attention and never feel like you need to give up.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because it prepares you for college level English classes. It is also a class that teaches skills and criteria that everyone would benefit from.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was learning to write AP level essays about an array of subjects. I learned many writing techniques as well as MLA format.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed and pass AP English 12, you must be self-motivated and self-disciplined. An advanced placement teacher is not going to hold your hand and walk you through the class, but they also won't leave you behind. Take notes on everything you learn, and be punctual in doing your work.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

AP English 12 on Virtual Arkansas with Mrs. Green has been one of the most helpful classes of my high school career. It has gotten me ready for what college will be like and pretty good knowledge of what will be expected whenever I go to college. It has put me in a completely different mindset and makes me want to go above and beyond what is expected in the class room.

    Course highlights:

In this class we have learned how to annotate and analyze poems, write essays, cite our sources, write our own poems and learn more about what will be expected in college.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If I were to give any advice to kids that are thinking about taking this course I would have to say be prepared, stay very organized and on task. Be prepared for the work you will be doing and spend your time very wisely on what you are doing. Organization in this class is a must and is very helpful, losing your things is not a good idea and make sure to save whatever you do on your computer and back it up. Staying on task is probably the most important of all of these pieces of advice, things will overwhelm you if you procrastinate.
