    | Would not recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I personally am not a fan of the teaching style. Some of the tasks that we do feel elementary and not challenging enough. Also for being a class teaching Modern Literature a lot of the assignments have nothing to do with the books that have been read or the themes.

    Course highlights:

I learned about writhing in a journal and creative writing. At the beginning of class there would be a journal topic and we had ten minutes devoted to writing about it. Multiple of the writing assignments are creative.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Remember to complete all the assignments on time.

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr.Botton is a great teacher, when he gives you an essay assignment he gives you plenty of time to get it done. He is also very honest, he comments on what is great, what you can change to make it better and weakness you have regarding your writing skills. His class overall is fun.

    Course highlights:

We did some group project that were fun and it helped us with our grammar skills and how to cite websites/books. Some days we would play games or what movies that were about the novels we had read and we had to compare them and say what the movie didn't have that the book did.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

If you want to learn how to use proper grammar and how to improve your writing this class would help you. Also if you want to be able to have a good friendly relationship with a teacher Mr. Botton is the funniest guy around.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Yes I would recommend this course because it helps you practice your writing. It is a lot of writing but not as much as others and it helps you to be able to prepare and write a good strong essay, research paper, etc. It expands your knowledge and helps you to analyze the text in the book and interpret it to what the prompt asks for.

    Course highlights:

The highlights would be just be being able to now write a proper essay. It has been easier for me now to be able to write papers for any class. Reading as well has been swell, it has helped me expand my knowledge on thinking beyond of what the dictionary meaning of a word or phrase is.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Advice i would give is to keep up with the reading. If you dont keep up and think you'll do fine with sparknotes or some other form of help you are wrong. You need to be able to know what is happening in the book in order to write papers on the book.
