    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course was great and had a great professor. The material was engaging and challenging, and you definitely had to pay attention and come to class in order to succeed.

    Course highlights:

I learned that coming to class and taking the material seriously is much more important than simply going through the motions and getting the homework done in a half-hearted way.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Class participation and engagement was one of the most important aspects of this class. In order to understand the material and be able to do the homework, you had to make sure that you went to class and ask questions, and make friends in the class, so that you could help each other out if either of you needed it.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class is an introduction into the content studied as a Chemical Engineer, and a required course. If a student hates the content, chances are they will not enjoy very many of the future classes as a Chemical Engineer and possibly should consider a change in major. It is the perfect determining class as it is not extremely difficult and is early enjoy in the degree program that students can change majors without falling behind too much.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course came through learning about the transfer of energy in its' many forms. Learning how a turbine or nozzle works is fascinating, especially since you see how the energy is transferred from one form to another in order to complete a task.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

If a student reads the recommended material, strives to understand the homework problems, and seeks help when quiz scores are low, then valuable skills are obtained from this course. If your quiz scores are slumping, get help right away! Waiting will only drag down you grade and understanding.
