Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this class because it is literally required in order to get through Mines. However, the reason it is only 4 stars is because Seger as an instructor is really not a great choice. Seger doesn't teach very much and it's really obvious when you talk to older students as well. However, there are great recitations and tutoring sessions for this course, so don't be worried that you'll fail!

    Course highlights:

Students should expect to learn about intermolecular forces, thermochemistry, and molecular bonding as well.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would suggest brushing up on chemistry before taking this course! I took AP Chem in high school, which really helped with my understanding in class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class provides a solid foundation for CHGN 121.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was the great foundation earned in chemistry. Also, Professor Sower's enthusiasm for teaching was great!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not be afraid to ask question in class. Professor Sower is more than happy to answer any of your questions. Also, just because the class may seem easy at times, doesn't mean that you should blow it off and not pay attention.
