Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend this course especially if you are not majoring in a science and just need to get a science credit for the requirement of your AA. This professor was absolutely amazing and really helped every student understand the materials. The class itself was a little complicated but only if you didn't study. It was also an interesting and informational course about all living things, evolution, and land. A lot of it was lecture half of the class and lab the other half which is a great way to learn the material and go hands on with it. You get some pretty cool pictures to!

    Course highlights:

In this course I really enjoyed learning in depth about how the human body works and functions, how all living things are made of prokaryotes and eukaryotics, how everything started and the main focus of each era, and of course the labs and professor. Taking a science all determines on which professor you take and how much time you put into studying!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study as much as you can, note cards will become your best friend. Getting a tutor isn't a bad thing either! If you're required to take a science for your AA and choose biology, be sure to take it with a great professor. Also don't be afraid to ask questions because things will get a little confusing!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I really enjoyed taking Biology with Professor Fernandes. I was a little stressed out because I don't really do well in science classes. But she made it very easy and made it so the class was stress free.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was being able to take it online. While working full time and taking care of a two year old St. Pete College made it very easy for me to take classes with my busy schedule.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

My biggest advice for this course would be to study. The professor did an amazing job on splitting the course up and organizing it so everything was easy to understand.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I entered this class with very low expectations because science is not one of my strong suits but I ended up passing the class with an A! The powerpoints and lectures are very thorough and she packs a lot of information into a short period of time, so you definitely have to pay attention and show up to class in order to pass.

    Course highlights:

I gained an understanding of biology at the most basic level but also how it applies to the world around me. I learned all sorts of tidbits that made me see the world in a different way.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you show up to class and pay attention! Other than that I would recommend reading the textbook as it goes further in depth and gives clarification on certain topics.
