    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

AP Biology is a very demanding course that requires full focus and attention. I would not recommend taking it unless you really enjoy biology or you intend to take it seriously. It is always a good idea to challenge yourself in school but don't go into a tough class if you don't intend to work hard. School is supposed to be tough, so don't just slide by, but also don't get in over your head.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of AP Biology are that it really explains a lot of concepts that were just skimmed on in regulars Biology. Also Mrs. Bartlett is an angel and a great teacher. It really gives you more insight on what is occurring inside your body. First semester we mostly focused on activities inside of cells. Like the functions of all these different proteins and about DNA and different types of RNA and how viruses enter cells. Overall it was a very interesting semester.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this class you really need to pay attention and take notes. Always do the assignments on and make sure you are studying on your own at home. This is not a class you can pass with minimal effort. You really need to put your back into it and give it your all.
