    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

A rigorous, faced pace class, with daily homework assignments, AP Calculus BC is not for the faint of heart! To those who generally turn their noses at the prospect of math in general, maybe this isn't for you. But to those who are up for the challenge, I would highly recommend this class. The teacher is fabulous, thorough in her teaching, and fair on her tests, definitely a must for math lovers.

    Course highlights:

This class sharpened my math skills in general, but I felt that it really developed my problem solving skills. For me, the greatest highlight of this class was the end of the year project, a hand-constructed object generated from one or more graphs.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take thorough notes in class, and when the teacher goes over homework answers, make sure you correct your own mistakes. This will help you better understand where you generally make your mistakes, and how to not make them in the future (like on tests).

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

First of all, Ms. Kennedy is one of the best teachers in the school. Second of all, Calculus BC provides theorems and formulas that actually apply to real-life situations. The course keeps building up, and you will feel extremely achieved when you connect all the dots together and excel. However, that also means if you fall behind, you have to try really hard to catch up.

    Course highlights:

Everyday there was a highlight. I learned a lot of amazing applications and that math can be a lot of fun.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the assigned work daily, ask questions when you are confused, discuss problems with friends, memorize all the important theorems, and simply have fun with math!
