Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Claycamp is honestly one of the best math teachers I've had (coming from someone who hates math) because he knows how to keep students engaged. One problem I've had with math is being unable to conceptualize the things we learned. With him, I am able to see how the problems could apply to real life, and it makes the class feel like it's worth something.

    Course highlights:

I learned how extensive the functions of a calculator are, and even though that sounds pretty lame, it'll help you a lot in the future. While statistics doesn't sound terribly interesting, you will not regret taking it, since I find myself using it today in my science classes.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

You don't really need the book for much more than simple definitions, so that's one major part of AP classes that everyone hates out of the way. The work is really simple, its just a matter of doing it on time and keeping up with the deadlines. Don't be afraid to ask the teacher for help. I promise, he's not scary. And also, don't be afraid to mess up a problem horribly. It happens, and you learn from it.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I believe Mr. Claycamp has been teaching AP Stats at OHS for about 17 years now, so he is very experienced. His notes and explanations are very straight forward and he breaks things down very well. He teaches very enthusiastically and welcomes any questions or doubts students may have making it easy to come to him for help when it is needed.

    Course highlights:

So far, we have learned about Probability, Normal Distributions, an other topics. My favorite, although the most difficult was Probability because it is applicable and useful to many real world situations.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You should always try to keep up with the homework so that you can ask questions and address them early on so that you are more prepared on test days. Also, do not hesitate to ask for help.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Claycamp has a full understanding of the subjects and utilizes the tools at his disposal to make the class interesting and fun.

    Course highlights:

Overall, I enjoyed everything I learned. Probabilities are what interested me the most. I would often find myself thinking about the probability of something happening even while not in class

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Go into the class with a good mindset and strive to do your best at understanding. Be ambitious in the classroom
