Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

To this day, I still call upon Mrs. Beckham for assistance and encouragement to be the best version of myself that I could possibly be. She is a wonderful, caring, no nonsense woman who deserves all the respect a person can give.

    Course highlights:

Without Mrs. Beckham, I would not have known how to go about applying for college, let alone attending or even succeeding at college.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Practice Cornell Note taking like your life depended on it. Don't be afraid to ask questions because if you have a question, chances are at least one other person has that same question.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It's a great way to inform yourself and the people who want you to succeed in the future, to choose the best path to take after high school. They help you with college application and take you to see Universities first hand, to see if it's right for you.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course is that Avid financially informs you the different opportunities their is to help you go to college. I learned that isn't never to early to start dreaming of what you'l like to be in the future and what career you want to persue.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't slack off and do the binder checks and tutorials. It may seem like a pain but it is helpful for your future. Binder checks help you keep organize and tutorials help you on the point of confusion of a problem.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course extremely because it really helps keep you on the right path towards attending a four year university.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot of useful skill being in AVID; such as, being organized, asking for help, and to be on top of your work. My favorite thing overall about this class is how much the teachers really care and want to help you through the process of applying. Thy know it's hard and can be stressful, but they are always there to help us in anything we need.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It might seem like a lot of busy work doing the same routine of things every week, but really helps to keep those skills they teach you to become a routine that will benefit you greatly in the end such as Cornell notes.
