    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend the APUSH curriculum because it teaches about aspects of US History that are not taught in other courses of study. it covers a variety of time and subjects, and does not only show the good but the bad as well.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course is the wide variety of information that I could learn and that I retained. I learned all about the presidents, their strengths, weaknesses and influences on the country. I also learned a lot about the Civil Rights Movement, and the impact that European colonization had on Native Americans, beyond just the Cherokee Trail of Tears. It was incredibly labor intensive, but it was definitely worth it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure that you stay organized and turn in your homework when it is assigned. Always study for your tests, even if you know you know it study anyway. Also, don't be afraid too ask for help, AP teachers are often available and willing to help because they don't want to see you fail. If they have review sessions go to them, because they are beneficial and you won't be the only one there.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The content is extremely interesting, to say the least. It allows students to understand their heritage as Americans, and to recognize what this country has gone through from even before its creation.

    Course highlights:

The knowledge gained in this course will assist students in any other American history course they may take. The most interesting portion of the curriculum was The Gilded Age, with the robber barons and corporation monopolies.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The best advice that can be given is to read the chapters assigned, and to participate in the discussions. The discussion allow for the students to instruct other students, so that knowledge can be gained from peers.
