    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is a difficult subject but attainable. Don't let yourself get discouraged by others. Understand that it will be a struggle but allow yourself the time to learn.

    Course highlights:

I learned about organic molecules and how to draw out reactions.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Practice your drawings and you will be able to replicate what you learned on the test.

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Barrows is a very intelligent teacher and will teach you all about Organic Chemistry but is a bit easier on grading than other professors that teach Organic. Most people dread taking Organic Chemistry and Dr. Barrows tries to take the edge off of it.

    Course highlights:

I learned reaction mechanisms and pka's of certain molecules as well as how to construct a certain molecule the way you want it to be constructed, which can be very helpful in other disciplines.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

As Dr. Barrows says, "Practice, practice, practice". This is no biology course where you are told a bunch of info and then you spit it back out on test, this is a course where you will be taught a number of tools and you must learn how to use those tools to succeed.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr Schelble is great at explaining hard concepts. She is also available for questions. I recommend using the ACS study guide because the ACS final is worth so much of your final grade. Dr Schelble really takes the time to prepare you for the exam and for future exams like the MCAT.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much about reactions and their relevance to my life. It was great!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study the ACS study guide, attend class lectures and you will do great.
