Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Public speaking is a necessary course but it is truly beneficial. It is futile to think you can go your entire life without having to speak to a group (even a small one). A great way to help match your performance to your competence is to increase your ability to articulate that which is in your mind!

    Course highlights:

My professor was amazing. He fostered an excellent class community which turned into a safe space for each student to prosper. I learned the importance of structuring thought and thinking/speaking on my feet.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

This sounds cliche, but don't be afraid to sound awkward and stupid. You have to get through it in order to excel. You will always feel nervous and uncomfortable. The key is to become comfortable with uncomfortability.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Even though this was an honors class and involved more work, it was fun work. The professor helped us deal with out nervousness and made it easy for us to give our speeches.

    Course highlights:

The whole concept of public speaking is to consider your audience. This is a concept that is continuously repeated throughout the course.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do online homework, and practice speech beforehand.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend because it helped me a lot with my fear of public speaking. You are in a room of people just like you, learning how to speak better and it helps you.

    Course highlights:

I gained a better confidence in my speaking skills.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Let go of most of your fears and like my professor said, live in the moment. It will really help to go through the course.
