Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend taking this because, well, you have to anyways. But fret not, because Ms Hoac is a great teacher.

    Course highlights:

One of the main highlights of this class was how fast Ms Hoac was able to give feedback. Immediately after taking a test, she would take the pile and grade it right then and there. She understands that anxious students would rather not sit and torture themselves over the possibilities of their grades.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do your homework and pay attention. That is all.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend Ms. Bray as a history teacher! She is a very quirky person that can relate to her students. Since world history is a mandatory course for California high school students to graduate, they have to take it. I specifically ask that you get Ms. Bray though. Aside from her quirky and fun personality, she is a very engaging and knowledgeable teacher where you'll be sure to have fun, whether you like history or not.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course, were the in class activities that we did in class. An example would be where we had to hand copy a drawing and half the class were split into one side drawing the entire thing and the other half having each person draw a certain part of the drawing. She used this to demonstrate the effectiveness of the assembly line system that was introduced during the industrial revolution. She showed how although we produced more drawings at a higher rate, the drawings made by ones drawing the entire thing were of a much higher quality but took longer to make.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed, VOLUNTEER! She has a point system based off of classdojo points, where each time you raise your hand, you get FREE points. They are the easiest way to get points in her class and since participation weighted heavily in her class, it'll help your grade a lot. Along with volunteering, you should remember what you learn in class since the time periods all connect with each other and she references previous chapters sometimes.
