    | No strong feelings either way.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I think it's fine for a basic English class, but switch into honors if you like to write and want to improve your debating skills.

    Course highlights:

The most important thing I learned was the basics of English syntax and the Jane Schaffer paragraph outline.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you have all the requirements for turning in essays. It's also good to maintain a positive relationship with the teacher, or she'll grade harshly against you.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class exposes students to many different genres and authors. The teacher is very thorough.

    Course highlights:

My favorite part about this class was the Detective unit at the beginning. We read Borges and Conan Doyle and compared their works using some of the works of John T Irwin. The feminism chapter is in tune with pop culture as well as tradition feminist theory while still being accessible to the average student.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do all of the reading! Class isn't fun unless you do the work beforehand; if you don't, you'll feel left out. Be honest with the teacher because the course is very accommodating.
