    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I learned a lot, the teacher was amazing, and I felt proud of my work at the end of the year.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were the semester events. Although, the idea of a really long history research paper sounded daunting at the beginning of the year, I had so much fun researching my topics. My first topic was the Lost Colony of Roanoke and I learned about a sabotage theory of how the colonists were stranded. My second topic was Roe v. Wade and I became very interested in how a case is carried through the Supreme Court. I learned a lot about United States History and how we came to be the country we are today

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do all of the reading, pick good topics for your semester event, and do all of the focus assignments; they really helped.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

Mr. Lewis is a funny and engaging teacher who knows the course material extremely well. He's able to pass on this intelligence to his students in an efficient way in time for the AP test and challenges his students to put all their effort towards being the best they can be and succeeding.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were definitely the Semester Events, which were extensive research papers on a singular event in U.S. History. Each student researched a different topic and there was one each semester.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not procrastinate! Stay on top of your work and the workload of APUSH will be bearable.
