Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Not only is Mr. Hawk in an amazing teacher, but the history class it's self has taught me so much about the American culture and how America developed into what it is today!

    Course highlights:

I loved the classwork and worksheets that we did in class. They not only were an important resource for studying for the exams, but further prepared me for college level work and fast pace learning.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention in class and always go to class. Although things can always be accessible online the most valuable knowledge is that received during the class period.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The teacher is very informative and talented in her profession. Although the routine of notes, lectures, and videos will get redundant over the course, every lesson plan that she gives has a purpose and will help you broaden your knowledge and prepare you for the AP test.

    Course highlights:

We learned about US history from the 1500s to the present, from politics to societal changes to economics.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Each handout and worksheet is useful in studying for the chapter tests, so always review. The tests are usually hard but they are AP level, so you will definitely get a 5 on the AP test with all of the practice you get.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It's relevant to the world we live in and will teach you about how our country came to be. Understanding the world we live in is the first step in being an informed global citizen aware of the various cultures and communities we're surrounded by.

    Course highlights:

Learning the development of issues such as civil rights and women's rights spanning the separation of US from Great Britain, all the way to the present day was really interesting.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Buy the AP US History Crash Course book, Kreiger knows what he's talking about. Learn for the sake of learning, find a way to make the material interesting.
