    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I'd recommend this course because of its relevancy to real life. There is a lot of problem-solving involved where you have to think outside the box to solve something. I also think it's important to learn about biology, from the environment we live in to the way our cells function for us to live. We also talk about current events, such as studies on red meat causing cancer, so it is a very informative class.

    Course highlights:

I liked the labs we did because they required a lot of skills that I still use today, such as problem-solving, communication, creativity, and so on.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It's a lot of work, so you'll need to take your time. Don't rush on the homework or leave things out in labs, because they'll hurt you in the end. The most important thing is to not take this class just to memorize things, but to take in information and really understand the concept.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I definitely recommend this class because I believe the content of the course broadens a person's perspective both from a knowledgeable stand point and moral point of view.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were definitely learning about the human body and its surroundings. And in addition to just learning about ourselves scientifically, Brick, our amazing teacher, introduced us to important life mantras to live by and I think taking this class has really made my every day life more meaningful.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend taking carefully organized and concise notes on every chapter instead of rushing through the reading guides because the material is more understandable that way and it is easier to study for the finals by having handwritten notes for every chapter. In addition, I would recommend rather than concentrating so much the grade, everyone's goal should be to understand the content and just try their best.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Fun and educational class with an excellent teacher! Mrs. Hotz makes biology very easy to understand in a carefree way. Easily one of my favorite courses at RBHS.

    Course highlights:

The labeled diagrams are fun to color and lifesavers on tests!

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared for a lot of labs and group work (as to be expected in most any science class) but overall it is a very educational course.
