    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course because it will give you the experience of an AP class and it will prepare you for other AP classes especially if it is the first time you are taking AP classes. You will be grateful for the skills that you learn in the class and you will make other AP classes like AP English or AP World History much more easier because your writing will improve as well as the way you think. As long as you pass, you will have absorbed most of the history that is learned and it will be particularly helpful in other AP history courses.

    Course highlights:

In this class, I learned how to be more concise with my writing and to get to the point without having any unnecessary and unrelated things in it. I learned how to ask better questions that I would never think to ask in my regular classes.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you do your homework because there is always going to be a lot and the essays are very rigorous and even the multiple choice is very difficult. Do your notes ahead of time, not a night or two nights before because your hand will be very, very sore. After finishing your notes, read over them to see which parts you still don't understand or you have a question and jot that question down, which you should ask in class later on. Never wait until the last minute to answer questions and get help whenever you can because the teacher is always there for help and never gives you a "no" for it.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because I learned so much. I personally do not like learning any kind of history, but the teacher made the class interactive and very enjoyable.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much about US History: everything from the Iroquois to the Industrial Age to the Civil Rights Movement! As well as making the class enjoyable, my teacher also taught in a way so that I would understand the information - not just memorize it.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would definitely recommend this course, but make sure to be ready for lots of work. Learning everything may be hard in the beginning, but make sure to review everything every night to really understand and remember the material. Pay attention in class and ask questions.
