Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course. AP World History is a good first AP course that lets students test their AP readiness for possible future classes, and personally I found the homework load manageable. There is quite a bit of work, but Mrs. Kenitzer is always willing to help and the peer tutors are there to assist as well. Overall this is an enjoyable and beneficial class.

    Course highlights:

Personally I enjoyed learning about most everything in the class - medieval Japan and World War 2 were highlights for me. I enjoy learning about history so this class was good for me. I enjoyed study sessions and the several activities we had in class, such as a speed dating game we played with historical figures.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise students to manage their time wisely. The course does come with quite a bit of homework - almost every night you will have something to do. It will take a longer time to do, but it isn't an impossible mountain to climb. If you keep at your outlines and packets the homework shouldn't take more than an hour and a half (depending on the length of the assignment).

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class to people who are committed to school, grades, and their academics. This class really helped me gain new skills such as analyzing, summarizing, and writing.

    Course highlights:

I really learned to stay consistent with the workload, prevent procrastination, and to treat this class like an actual college course.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not procrastinate! I know it's a typical saying, but seriously this is one of the first AP classes one will take and it is a great way to test yourself and expand your knowledge, not limit oneself. Try and you will succeed.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class taught me how to work past all the unnecessary information to find the truly valuable facts of history. It also gave me plenty of random facts that I use in conversations all the time.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this class for me were being able to discuss historical events with others in a context that we all understood. I'm definitely a "history buff," but so many people do well in the class because it's all explained thoroughly and not just information put out in the open.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do all of the work! Don't expect to do well just by paying attention in class, you have to do everything outside of class as well.
