    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a great course but very challenging. Mr.Perry is a wonderful teacher. He is always willing to help and very friendly but will make you work for your grade. You have to be willing to put a lot of time and effort into this class if you want to earn an A. The class is awesome prep for the AP test; most of his students pass with a 4 or 5.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was seeing my writing improve and getting higher scores on my essays. I learned how to analyze everything from novels to poems to short stories.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay motivated! It will be really hard especially as a senior but push through it and you'll be very thankful in the end.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Literature is a great class, in my opinion, just not the one I took. There are two main teachers for AP Lit, and I was unfortunate enough to be assigned the worst teacher I've ever had. Not only is the teacher biased, but if you do not agree with him, you will be placed on his "Make This Student's Life Miserable" list. For a class that should welcome different opinions, the teacher does not, and he makes it difficult to earn a good grade in his class if you happen to have different opinions. If you have the other teacher (Mr. Perry), then by all means please take the class. You will enjoy the discussions you have together, and will learn valuable life lessons. I was lucky enough to have him as a teacher for one year, and it was the most enjoyable English class I've ever taken.

    Course highlights:

I learned that a teacher can make you love or hate a class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't take it if you want to enjoy your last year of high school. Take it if you want to experience how bad a class can actually get.
