    | Would highly recommend.

    Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

    We read classic novels and analyze the novels so that we understand their meaning. We are also shown how to write professionally and how to avoid common grammar mistakes. This course helps you to better your writing and better yourself in the sections you struggle when it comes to writing an essay.

    Course highlights:

    I learned how to lighten up my summaries and how to fix sentences that may be worded awkwardly. The highlight of this course was being able to create and write on our blogs anonymously. This allowed us to really write how we wanted without being judged by our peers; it really helped me to develop‚Äč as a writer.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    Do not procrastinate and complete all the readings when you start reading novels. The novels are timeless and classic with their creativity and style. Also, study for the timed writes and use the week that you are given to write an essay to better it throughout the time that you are given.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    This class challenges the students to discover their inner strength by reading various books. This also enhanced the writing skill of students by multiple writings and lectures about English overall.

    Course highlights:

    I learned various of lessons in this class that strengthen my writing, reading, and communicating skills. It helped me understand the deeper meaning of simple phrases which are the key to a better understanding of the work.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

    Be mentally prepared to work on the courses needed for this class. Be ready to read variety of books that has different story lines. Also, be prepared to write long paper works that will showcase your strengths.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    This course is an incredible opportunity to delve deeper into Literature: from Jewish to African literature, Mr. Rodriguez offers a unique perspective while encouraging his students to learn how to analyze and synthesize information cohesively.

    Course highlights:

    I gained a further understanding of my writing's strengths and weaknesses. I also learned more about the many techniques that poets and authors utilize in order to make their works more powerful.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    You need a determination to follow through on assignments, while at the same time communicating with the teacher in order to further your writing capabilities. The assigned reading is crucial in order to pass the class; don't skip a book.
