    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it allows you to think about life in ways you have never thought of before. They make you question what you know in life and how do you know it. This course is very interesting and has always surprised me!

    Course highlights:

I learned many things in this course. I learned that I need to back up every single thing I know through ways of knowing which are language, sense perception, emotion, reason, imagination, faith, intuition and memory. We also learned that not many things we know are from reliable sources.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Some tips when taking this course has to be to save every single worksheet or notes they give in this class because they can definitely help you later. Also take notes about what you did in class everyday and make sure to date them because they collect a binder filled with all you notes at the end. Also, make sure to show up early everyday because they do award extra credit for attending class everyday at the end of the semester.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class really opens your eyes to see the world in another perspective. I would recommend anyone withthe ooppertunity to take the course to do it! You learn to see things differently.

    Course highlights:

From this course I learned that everything has a definition as to how and why. Its quite difficult to explain everything I learned but I would say that this course helps you evaluate everything in another way you would never be able to on your own.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to suceed I would advice you to get involved. Participate in the class dicussions and ask questions. If you dont understand a concept do not be afraid to ask and seek help. Personaly, I felt like time went really quick so you have to pay attention and go with the flow.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course (if your school is an International Baccalaureate school) because it challenges your way of thinking. The course lets you engage and interact with different controversial topics and sometimes make you contradict the way you look/think about things.

    Course highlights:

On the first day of class, the teacher made us think about something we know is true. For example, I know that the sky is blue. The teacher would ask you "How do you know?" and from this question, you start to think about why you know that. Obviously, you were taught what the color blue looks like and you know that the sky is blue from that, but do you really know that the sky is blue? Or did you just believe that the person who taught you what the color blue was? The class allows you to think about what you actually know and what you have been told.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

There really is no advice to this class. The class just allows you to know how you understand the world and the things that happen around us. It will challenge your way of thinking and maybe confuse how you know things but it is a good course to take if you are up for the challenge.
