Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

You learn the basics of computer science very quickly and effectively. It also comes with an in depth understanding of the effect of computational innovation on a global scale. The class prepared students very well for the AP exam. It's pretty cool, dude.

    Course highlights:

Students gained skills in multiple programming languages, as well as the tools to discuss the global impact of computational innovations. Students also learned about current events related to computing and understanding of how those events were able to occur.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Students need to have an interest in the subject, as well as a very basic understanding of algebra. Other than that, the course is fairly easy. Students should expect not to just be programming, but to also understand how the world has been affected by the growth of technology and the internet, as well as the history behind it.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to anyone with even a little experience in coding. It had just the right balance between challenging and fun.

    Course highlights:

Coding an arcade game called Asteroids made the course interesting. It was a long term project that taught me more about object oriented programming and allowed me to be creative with my coding. I also practiced coding on a site called codingbat.com, which basically drilled algorithms into my head. Overall, the course was filled with interesting content that has stuck with me to this day.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend drilling on codingbat.com before tests. Other than that, I would say to be as creative as possible while writing programs, because I feel that doing so is the best way to make the most out of your coding experience.
