Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class expands ones knowledge of the world and why we are where we are. The issues we face today are studied by diving into the history of those events. Once mastering the history, we move to discussing

    Course highlights:

The Crisis Area Project comes at the end of the year. The class is divided into groups and each group is assigned a country where there is a crisis, such as Syria. Once the group has a topic they must come up with three days worth of instructions in order to teach the class on that topic. From this project, one is able to acquire higher levels of researching, public speaking, and critical thinking.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not bother memorizing. Instead, try to understand the content.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because it is such an interesting class. It covers the parts of history that you do not traditionally cover. It's full of interesting useful information.

    Course highlights:

The whole course was pretty much a highlight for me. But one part that stuck out to me was the Middle-Earth Simulation we did. It was very fun and taught me how the international system works.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Just have lots of fun and always do any readings or homework assigned. It is always for your benefit and will help you succeed.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course, because whether you like history or not, you learn about a lot of information that anyone should know anyways. You will learn about how and why the world works the way it does, making you more aware of the world around you. You will also practice many skills, such as critical thinking, debating, and speaking

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were when I had to do my own research to learn about international crises, such as the drug wars in Mexico, dictatorship in NK, civil war in Syria, and more. This helped me understand how so many issues around the world began, and what is going on in the world now.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise students to always read and do the homework, and always get involved. The readings help students understand what will be taught in class, since you need that background knowledge to understand the content being taught. There are also many great discussions, so always try to get involved in them, as they help you have a deeper understanding of the content.
